Graham Ross is Founder and MD of ODR Training Ltd, which runs the leading distance training course in ODR at ( www.ODRtraining.com ) which has been teaching ODR to mediators and lawyers for over 10 years.
Graham is a UK lawyer and mediator with over 20 years experience in IT and the law. Graham is a member of the UK Civil Justice Councils’ ODR Advisory Group that produced a Report recommending the pathway to building an online court, which led to the current online court project for civil money claims, as well as being a member of the Civil Justice Council’s Working Party on ADR which is about to publish its final report on how to encourage more use of ADR, and mediation in particular.
Graham was the founder of LAWTEL, the popular web-based legal information update service. Graham co-founded the first ODR service in the UK, WeCanSettle, in 2001 and designed the blind bidding software at the heart of the system. Graham subsequently founded TheMediationRoom.com, for whom he designed their text based online mediation platform which has been used in online mediation pilots for two small claims courts in the UK, for PayPal and others including the Law Council of Australia and the Australian mediation service, LEADR. Graham speaks regularly at international conferences on the impact of the law on the application of technology to ADR and the courts. Graham has organised three conferences on ODR (with a 4th to take place in London on the 23rd January 2019). Graham was a team member of the EMCOD project which is created a facility for the European Union for the measurement of justice through ODR.
