Fiona is a public interest lawyer with over 30 years’ experience across a broad canvas of public, regulatory, health, welfare and community sectors.

As a former Chairperson of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission, Fiona’s  interest in accessible and inclusive dispute resolution spans many years including time as a member of the Commonwealth Administrative Appeals Tribunal, WorkCover Appeals Board and a number of disciplinary tribunals dealing with consumer protection related occupations.  Fiona’s current commitments include non-executive directorship of Melbourne Polytechnic and Charter Member Brotherhood of St Lawrence.

Fiona also has significant lived experience of disability and helped pioneer individual choice and control for people with disabilities through the development of Australia’s first consumer controlled personal care service in the 1980s.
